As head of Legend’s Development Group, and one of the four founding partners of Legend Partners, Rick has been instrumental in Legend’s growth since its inception. In 1985, at La Salle Partners, Rick served as General Manager for a group of regional malls across the United States. In 1990, he joined fellow Legend partner, David Larson to form EquiVentures Inc., a successful full service commercial real estate company. Three years after EquiVentures’ sale to MileHigh Properties LLC, Rick accepted a position with Trammel Crow Company as Vice President of their national retail services network.
Rick’s primary focus has been Master Brokerage and Development. As a Master Broker for Chipotle Mexican Grill, Rick completed over 100 lease transactions across 10 states. Rick grew his role with Chipotle as a Development Director of the team responsible for real estate, design, construction and legal for a 15 state region. Rick continues his Master Brokerage responsibility with a select group of tenants.
Rick has grown his development expertise to provide “preferred” development services for tenants such as Chipotle Mexican Grill and Panera Bread Company. Rick has directed the Legend Development Group to over $100,000,000 in development across 16 states. Legend Development also provides fee development services for a number of ground up developments and certain restaurant clients.
